Renal health benefits of sustainable diets in Japan: a review

Abstract Global warming may reduce food production and force people to adopt dietary habits of inadequate quantity or quality. Such could trigger chronic kidney disease through inappropriate nutrition lifestyle diseases. Livestock farming other types are responsible for many greenhouse gases. These problems being emphasized as a diet-environment-health trilemma be addressed on global scale, with various methods proposed toward its resolution. Diets like plant-based low-protein diets not only potentially prevent the progression disease, but also rational from an environmental preservation perspective.
